Shinjuku is one of the representative cities of Tokyo, and some people may want to visit here.
Here are some recommended spots in Shinjuku.
8 recommended spots in Shinjyuku
Shinjuku is often thought of as being full of skyscrapers, but it is actually surrounded by beautiful parks where you can get in touch with nature.
The recommended spots in Shinjuku are as follows.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
The first place we will introduce is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
As the name suggests, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is a place where various administrative services for Tokyo are performed. You can enter through the procedures even if you are not an employee.
However, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building is very distinctive and can be enjoyed just by looking at it.
Also, if you are lucky, you can see the project mapping at night.
Tokyu Kabukicho Tower
Tokyo Kabukicho Tower is a high-rise building that was recently built in Kabukicho.
The building houses various facilities such as restaurants, hotels, movie theaters, and live music venues.
All of our facilities are of a high standard, so you will have the best experience possible.
Shinjuku Toho Building
Shinjuku Toho Building is the building in front of the Kabukicho Tower that I introduced earlier.
This building has a restaurant on the lower floors, and facilities such as a movie theater and hotel on the upper floors.
Godzilla’s head is very impressive, so it’s a building that can be enjoyed even from the outside.
Shinjuku Gyoen
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a large park located a short walk from the east exit of Shinjuku Station.
There is an admission fee of 500 yen, but you can see the beautifully maintained lawns and lake for that amount.
It’s a famous place that is also used as a setting in Japanese anime, so it’s definitely worth seeing.
Shinjuku Chuo Park
Shinjuku Central Park is a large park located in Shinjuku.
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is located at the east exit, while Shinjuku Central Park is located at the west exit.
There is a cafe space at the edge of the park, so you won’t have any trouble finding a meal.
It is a perfect park to play with children as there is play equipment.
Shinjuku Southern Terrace
Shinjuku Southern Terrace is a terrace located directly above the south exit of Shinjuku Station.
You can get a panoramic view of the large buildings in Shinjuku, and the most distinctive feature is the large clock.
There are various restaurants, so go if you want to eat after arriving at Shinjuku Station.
Isetan Shinjuku
Isetan Shinjuku is a historical department store in Japan that opened in 1886.

Shinjuku Marui Main Building
The last building we will introduce is the Shinjuku Marui Building main building.
This building is a department store with various shops located throughout the building.
It may not be as attractive as the spots we introduced this time, but there is an Apple store here.
Apple products tend to be sold cheaply in Japan, so if you want an iPhone or Mac, you should buy them here.
Be careful with Kabukicho
Kabukicho is the most famous spot in Shinjuku.
Kabukicho has a variety of restaurants and host clubs, but some of them charge high fees.
Therefore, I did not introduce it as a recommended spot in this article.
If you want to eat in Shinjuku, I recommend the downtown area near the west exit.
